1. Acceptance of Terms

By buying, installing or using Fireside ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. What Fireside Is

Fireside is a desktop client for managing Firebase projects (Firestore, Authentication and Storage). It connects to your own Google Cloud and Firebase projects using credentials you provide, and acts on your instructions.

3. License

• A Fireside license is a one-time purchase. It lets you use the App on up to 2 computers at a time. You can move it by deactivating one computer and activating another.
• Your license includes one year of updates from the purchase date. Every version released in that year keeps working with your key permanently. Versions released after that year need a new license.
• The App checks your license online. It keeps working offline for up to 30 days between checks.
• The license is personal. You may not share, resell or publish your key, or try to bypass the license checks.

4. Payments and Refunds

Purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Prices are shown in US dollars, and taxes such as VAT are added where applicable. If Fireside doesn't work for you, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a refund. A refunded license key is revoked.

5. Your Responsibilities

• You're responsible for the projects and data you connect and for every change you make through the App, including edits and deletions. Changes go straight to your Firebase projects and many can't be undone. Keep backups of important data.
• Only connect projects and accounts you're authorized to access, and keep your credentials and service account keys secure.
• Use the App in line with applicable laws and with Google's and Firebase's terms.

6. Google Services

Fireside uses Google APIs on your behalf. Your use of Google Cloud and Firebase stays subject to Google's own terms, and any usage costs on your Google Cloud projects are yours. How the App handles Google user data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

Fireside is owned by envie studio and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Except for the open-source components listed in the App's credits, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the App.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, envie studio isn't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

9. Termination

We may revoke a license that was obtained fraudulently, refunded or charged back, or used in breach of these Terms. You can stop using the App and deactivate your computers at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll update the date above, and significant changes will be announced in the App's release notes. Changes don't reduce what you already bought.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
